This is a video taken of a 7″ LCD TV installed on a BMW M3 99 Convertable. Project took about 2 days and the stereo required seriouse modifications since the space where the Stereo is installed in this BMW model is NOT deep enough. Because modifications were made to the stereo, I lost DVD drive capability, since I could not fit that in there. The stereo takes a memory stick on the USB port in the front or an SD card of 32 GB, and because of this I do not miss the DVD drive. This devie also does not play TV since analog TV is no longer available in Chicago. I was looking to see if anyone has done this modification before and i was not successfull finding one anywhere. Now that I have don it, I thought someone out there might enjoy to see this video and know that it is posible to have something cool on the BMW e36 model Enjoy
looks sick lol i bought the same enon indash …my friend has did the same thing as u he had it long time ago
check out my m3 video in my page
Performance E36ers can start with a Signature Motoring performance intake kit. It can add up to 11HP for only about $150 and installs in 30-45 minutes – really a must for every E36 owner. It also makes the car HOWL at high end but sounds normal at everyday driving. See my videos!
-Adds 9-11 HP
-Never replace filter again (K&N)
-GREAT SOUND
This us an answer to “SKARQI5″ question: There is no modification to the car what so ever. All the mod is done on the Double Din. I took the DD and striped it apart. The main boar which was laying horizontal I mounted it Vertically up agenst the back of the display. Got rid of the disc drive but kept the board that was located on the disk drive because the DD would not work without that board. Finally mounted the DD on a 2 screws. One at the bottom and one at the top right by climate. control is
Answer to “SKARQI5″ question: that is not an issue because the on board SD card reader reads my 32GB chip and I can store a lot of music, movies, pictures, videos etc. The bad thing is that the guts of the DD behind the seen are not covered or boxed but you can’t see anything anyway. The reason I did not bother covering all the boards and components is that I thought my DD will have more room to breath. I absolutly love it and had it for quite a while now without any issues ever. Thanks
Thank you for your response to my email.. I will try to do as well. we’ll see how that goes. Perfect spot for a double din. Excellent job!
Good luck. Let me know how it turns out.
it’s very very hard.I can’t install it there..
Yeah, I know It definitely isn’t an easy project
this is the best place for the double din great mod
I’m happy with my 94 325i, but the only performance mods are sport suspension and the Signature Motoring performance intake for about $150. Signature Motoring kit adds around 9HP on the dyno, great sound, and the best performance upgrade for the money. See my channel videos!
-Adds 9-11 HP
-Never replace filter again (uses K&N filter)
-GREAT SOUND
-Installs in maybe 30-45 min. K&N filter lasts a lifetime.
I’m thinking maybe performance exhaust, but eh.
